MEGA SARDINES NEW CAMPAIGN POSTER STUDY

Proposed new campaign study for Mega Sardines' Easy Open Can launch

It is really far from being perfect. Anyway, it's just a draft. There are still a thousand series of revisions to come and I need to prepare myself for it. But hopefully let's say, there will be just three hundred minor revisions after this initial study. I will keep my fingers crossed on this one.

THE RETRO STUFFS

I found myself smiling upon listening to the music hits from the 90s - My generation. I belong to the generation where jologs and gamols are famous compared to the ill-fated jejemons nowadays.

I was watching youtube earlier because I wanted to confirm if Spice Girls' Let Love Lead the Way has water-themed MTV as opposed to the ice-themed MTV I was thinking earlier last week. It turned out that my sister was right! A water-themed MTV! Oh no, my memory is failing now! The ice-based MTV is Goodbye, that I think was dedicated to Geri Halliwell after she left the group in 1998.

I was happy and sad at the same time because I am not as young as I was listening to Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys some 15 years ago. I felt happy and proud for growing up with this kind of music and, I miss Spice Girls soooo much! I don't know how the hell we went from something like this to what we have nowadays. It's gazillion percent better than the complete crap we have today. If only I could turn back the times where I can simply watch them followed by some pop boy bands, I'd be happy to sit comfortably at home and spend another eight hours just watching MTVs. They. Are. Better. Than. Lady. Gaga. FOR. GOODNESS. SAKE! And because I am really happy today, I downloaded their album plus Backstreet Boys plus A1 plus Westlife! I miss them.. Aww fuck, I am having another sad moment by listening to Let Love Lead the Way.. :( hahaha! I just miss being a kid. (I think they are Retro now. Boo hoo!)

When I was in high school, I also thought about me liking Spice Girls and BSB when I grow up. Because my father listens to classic Oh-Diana everyday. And I said, "shit, no it ain't happening!" because I don't want to immerse my self thinking that this pop bands will become retro at some point. Then, the modern alternative rock-acoustic and RNBs went up the charts and I kinda liked 'em. But listening to this again today, retro na sya! Fuck, retro na din ako?! Sila na lang, wag na lang ako! :D late bloomer na nga ako working with creatives, pati ba naman sa music? Shutanginamels!

Alam ko, darating ang point na ako naman ang lolokohin ng mga batang makakasama ko with my age against them. Karma! :D I promise to be good with my 30ish friends from now on, and will forever maintain my childish look na lang. All I can do now is to download their MTVs and store their albums in my iPod. I will forever keep them in my heart.

Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Adams Beckham, Melani Chisholm and Melanie Brown. I love you guys!

OODY'S BAR AND RESTAURANT + TIMEZONE

Again, I am not a food blogger. Rather I am a happy eater! : )

French wines, Italian coffee, noodles, salad, soup, rice with pork and garlic, mixed seafood, crab meat omelette, fried spaghetti with clams and chili paste and tempura. What's bringin' into your mind other than sweet and spicy Thai? A mouth-watering description.. Yum, yum!

I skipped class last Saturday because I wasn't really in good condition. But that doesn't mean that I will skip a promise I made to my classmates. I went to Greenbelt with them plus a reliable guide map to Manila's amazing restaurants.

Our first stop: Oody's Restaurant

At first, one would think that this place is a bar rather than a restaurant. With its cool colors and clean line interiors, it can't help but stand out from the other restaurants in Greenbelt. When you look from the outside, specially for people aiming for a low to middle budget dining experience, they probably would've say no to this place because it is yeah, a little intimidating. It's one of those classy restaurants in EDSA Shangri-La with a touch of shiny interiors. That's what's missing in HEAT at EDSA Shangri-La. Hahaha!

Ced and Kim choosing from the wide selection of Oody's Menu.

This restaurant specializes in serving Southeast Asian cuisine. When visiting, try their Deep Fried Cat Fish with Green Mango. This pseudo-Vietnamese inspired salad is served at room temperature. If you are in the mood for something sour and savory, this is your dish. But for us, we wanted to try something new to our senses. We tried their best seller Sukhothai, the Mu Phat Kapi and Garlic Rice. I wasn't sure about Sukhothai because I am not a huge fan of chili and it was labelled very hot sa Menu. My gosh, and because we wanted so much adventure, we only had water in a four-inches green glass. While waiting, they served free chips and chili nuts which I found really appetizing!

Free chips and nuts! Yipee! The chips tasted really good! You have to watch out for this. :)

Garlic Rice at 48php per serving. Madami talaga yung rice, so I suggest if you're just gonna try restaurant hoppin' you can share this with a friend. Then if you are really hungry and need to get a grub, then this is for you.

Their best seller Sukhothai at 213php. The soup is sweet but very hot. I mean, REALLY spicy. And because it is sweet, hindi mo mararamdaman sa unang tikim probably because the devil in this soup is killing your tastebud slowly but surely.

Mu Phat Kapi @ 188php. Salty and sweet. An excellent combination. It is a pork with green bell peppers and other vegetables. :)
I can see that Kim is really happy!
The restaurant offers a wide selection of noodles and dishes from a variety of Southeast Asian countries. This place is great for a quick lunch or a quick dinner. The service is efficient and the servers are knowledgeable and really friendly. The price is right, affordable and good value for money. We spent 181php each.

Oody's Restaurant is located at Level 2, Greenbelt 3, Ayala Center Makati City.
Their contact number is (632) 757-4258.

Second Stop: Timezone, Greenbelt 3

When it is time for us to munch something sweet and cold (yes, ice cream!) medyo namili pa kami kung saan kami pwedeng kumain. But we ended up playing in Timezone.

Ced and Kim striked for a pose after reading the 65php yogurt ice cream menu.
Ced asked me if I can bring the DJ out of me with DJ Max Technika. Of course I can!

Me, playing DJ Max Technika. I think it's Play the Future while Ced posed with a happy smile.

Holy crap, I can play it using only one hand? Nyahahaha!

Crap! I am losing it! And yes, I wasn't able to finish the 3rd song. Hahaha!
Ced's turn. He's pretty good at it. He was able to finish his turn with flying colors!
Now, we are ready to rock and roll!

I kicked his butt with my 97% of notes hit against his 18%. He's magaling sa DJ Max Technika e! :) Anyway, I looked so stupid here.
I really had a fun night with them. Next Saturday, it's either we eat at Fely J's or just watch Kung Fu Panda.. :) I can't wait until next week!

Landmark. Getting out of Makati.

Kim looked so Japanese in her clothes. We made fun posing like Japanese kids at Aji Ichiban, Glorietta

FINAL FANTASY VII ON PC. FOR OLD TIME'S SAKE!

I got hold of my least favorite game in 1999 last week. It is not my thing to play Role Playing Games (RPG) that time because I am focused to obtain my S license in Gran Turismo in Play Station 1. The first Final Fantasy game I ever loved and still my favorite was Final Fantasy VIII. Not until I finished the game that I actually spent time playing Final Fantasy VII and boy, it is beautiful! I am not talking about its graphics because 3D games at that time wasn't smooth compared to the animation games nowadays. They all looked like a moving lego during game plays and if it wasn't because of it's marvelous story, the game's probably swooping its bricky ass down the trash. Kidding!

I vote for Final Fantasy VII, for having the most idiot proof controls that was ever invented. Hehe. Seriously, if you're gonna play this thing even without Final Fantasy gaming background, you will love the simple "charge-attack" battle and the menu / options for your character abilities, equipments and materia. You will eventually feel the awesomeness of this options when you know how to equip them the proper battle gears overtime. I spent like at least half an hour studying what gear to wear, materia to equip based on my previous tactical mistakes. Me and best bud even drew illustration of our possible materia positions pag equipped na, we jot down items we obtained after a fight and brainstorm about its possible good use. We take note of where we obtained a particular rare item for future use, I dunno. Hahaha! We are both young and in middle school! Whaddyaxpect?

What to love? Custom control for PC keyboard!

Recently, after an hour of conversation with my best bud last week, he told me that Squaresoft released a version of FFVII on PC. (I also found out that they also released FFVIII and FFIX PC compatible) I downloaded it in a flash! And (at least if I have time) I make sure to take Cloud and his allies on a journey one hour everyday. I also provided screenshot of some scenes in which I find cute and (the image) currently not available on the net. Am I sooo not a gamer anymore?

In this scene, Tifa reminded Cloud about his promise seven years ago. That Cloud will come and rescue Tifa if she gets in trouble.

That's just another moment where I have to hate Valentine's Day! Gawdammit! :p hehehe. Kidding! At least every 10 minutes, I get to wait for five minutes while they finish their never-ending-dialogues. Why can't they realize that someone's waiting for them to just normally roam around town? Hurr! If I end up on a village, I run around to search for potions and gils or talk to the locals hoping to encounter an optional mission. Sometimes, I take advantage of the time where I can run without enemy encounter. Hahaha!

I also make sure to take Cloud to a nearby Inn to restore his HP/MP for 10 gil a night.
For some reasons, this is what I enjoy in playing Final Fantasy: running around Inns.
And since I played FFVII before and I saw the smooth-rendered character 3D animated version of Tifa (in Final Fantasy Advent Children) and Aeris (Final Fantasy Crisis Core) now, I am running a huge crush on Aeris na! (wink!) Sorry Zack, move out, I am crushing on Aeris. You are not on my top list na Zack!

Cloud meets Aeris for the very first time!
Cloud was smashed into the church from a recent battle in Mako Reactor 5 with a robot. There, he met beautiful Aeris in which I was glad I bought a flower from her for 1 gil earlier in the game. It doesn't affect the overall gaming experience if you choose not to buy a flower from her though. I guess it's a pogi point for Cloud lang.

I've been in this place with Zack (Final Fantasy Crisis Core) Do you guys remember too? The northern part from here is Aeris' home.

Cloud spent the night at Aeris' home
Aeris mentioned here that he had a boyfriend. In which Cloud find surprising.
There are loads of funny stuffs in FFVII din. Like there was Cloud dressed like a woman for them to save Tifa from a pervert Don. Hahaha! I find him cute. Lalo na nung naglalakad na sya nicely. Literally!

ROFL look at Cloud right there! Hahahaha!

Hahaha! As if he's touching his bleep bleep! Now I am wondering, are we like that in real life? Do we walk like that for real? Now Cloud, are you serious? Hahaha! I hope he don't mind me for exposing this for show-and-tell. Anyway, you already have the highest reputation. Hehehe.

I hope to finish the game with Level 99, maximum!
